Aldaia for Minerva

Hi there!

Slightly later than usual this month (due to my getting muddled!), my latest blog post for Minerva Crafts is now live.

This month I was lucky enough to get some of this lovely, leaf print scuba to play with.  I combined it with the Pauline Alice Aldaia dress to make what feels like a really smart, going out frock.

I polled Instagram for opinions on which version of this dress to make (all three necklines, sleeve lengths and skirts are interchangeable, which is potentially too much choice for me!); the winner was view C with the high neckline and the paneled skirt.  I decided to go faux wrap anyway, but then when it came to cutting out, the pattern pieces decided it; I needed to go with view B exactly as is in order to fit everything on to my 2m of fabric.

I graded between sizes (yep, went up on the waist and hip) and I’m pretty happy with the outcome.  For the full details head on over to Minerva Crafts now.

Make again?

Yes, I think so.  I love the faux wrap, although I think I would be comfier in the paneled skirt; there is a tendency to want to suck my tummy in with this version!

Minerva Crafts provided the fabric and pattern as part of my regular Minerva Crafts Blogger Network supplies.  All opinions are my own.
