Hi there!
It seems a single shirt dress was just not enough for me; following last week’s Butterick B6333 Goldfish dress, I have another shirt dress for you today. This one is this month’s project for the Minerva Crafts Blogger Network; head on over there for the full details.
Here it is in action in Munich, in 30 degree heat; once again I learned that sometimes, you get what you pay for and Atelier Brunette cotton lawn really is the perfect summer cotton lawn fabric! This photo was taken at the end of a day of glorious sunshine spent trekking around from one playground to another with 4 children under the age of 9, so whilst there are a few creases, I’m pretty impressed!
I think my next version will have probably another inch added to the length of the bodice and a touch to the length of the skirt too, but the key feature is the choice of super light weight fabric and in this instance, I got it spot on first time around!
Wonder if I can finish another shirt dress before June 21st?

Pattern: Pauline Alice Cami dress
Fabric: 2m of Atelier Brunette cotton lawn from Minerva Crafts
My measurements: bust 35″, waist 30″, hip 41″
Size cut: 40 (based on finished measurements)
Adjustments made: Added a skirt lining to prevent it suddenly becoming see through in bright sunlight!
Make again? Definitely if I can find the right weight of fabric; I’d probably add a little to the length of both the bodice and the skirt
I really do love this dress, there’s something about this pattern that just makes it seem a really fun, fresh Shirtdress … and it’s great when it all comes together so well and your fabric is perfect – I’m loving this dress on you. Ok I’m gushing now so I’ll shut up! Xxx
